Michael is President of Robinson Grant & Co. and manages the Bluffton/Hilton Head offices. He oversees the company’s assurance services, including audits and reviews; tax preparation and planning; and provides advice and direction to many of the firm’s clients.

He began his public accounting career in Cleveland, Ohio, where he worked for 5 years for a large regional firm before moving to Bluffton, SC. Michael has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University and completed his accounting education at Cleveland State University. Michael passed the CPA exam in 1997 and obtained his certificate in public accounting in 1999.

Michael has given back to his profession by serving on the boards, as well as various committees, for both the South Carolina Association of CPAs and the South Carolina State Board of Accountancy. He served as Chair before coming off each board. In addition, Michael has given back to his residential community where he has been very active in church service and serving in leadership roles – including President of the Rotary Club of Bluffton. He currently serves as a Board Member for the Bluffton/Hilton Head Chapter of the Council of Estate and Financial Advisors, Inc.

Michael and his wife, Monica, have 5 children and 9 grandchildren. In addition to spending time with his kids and grandkids, he enjoys fishing and date nights with his wife.
